Untangling an anchor chain

I’ve been reading the Kosmos blog to see what kinds of challenges we’ll face when we’re cruising the Pacific. One of the recurring themes, which is a little worrisome, is that every few days they seem to wrap their anchor rode around coral and need to dive to untangle it. How does one do that with 5/8″ thick chain attached to a 300 pound anchor, dragging a 200,000 pound boat behind it? I’m sure it is manageable, but I don’t like diving alone, and Roberta isn’t a diver. We spoke with another couple who cruised a 75′ Northern Marine trawler through the Pacific and loved it, so we know it is possible.
