Greetings all!
There’s a saying in boating that, “The happiest two days in a boaters life are:
– The day they buy a boat
– The day they sell their boat”
I am pleased to report that we have sold Cygnus, our Grand Banks 60, and have purchased a new boat, a Moonen 90

Wow what a beautiful, and capable looking boat! I love anchor packets, proper looking ship!
Can’t wait to hear more about it, and your adventures.
Ken,
can’t wait to hear more about your plans for your new boat. Moonen has an incredible reputation as a builder and I don’t believe the sale to Australian ownership has dented that one bit.
The Doggersbank design is also well proven and tested and it has, of course, the Vripack studio as part of its DNA.
I love this design and the dark hull. Can’t wait to see it at some point here in the PNW.
Congrats again.
Can you Roberta and the dog’s handle the boat without a crew? Always loved your stories and have read a couple of your books.
Congratulations on the new boat. Filling it all the way up with fuel will certainly be expensive.
Wow, I’ve been following you for years now starting with your N62. Big boat, smaller boat and now bigger again. Not to mention your days with Sierra and King’s Quest when my kids were much younger. Looking forward to hearing about your travels and technical discussions. On another note, like you, but on a much smaller scale, my wife and I cruise in fresh water in North America. I converted one of my blogs to a book which you might enjoy. It’s a lighthearted look at a partial Great Loop. https://www.amazon.com/Great-Loop-Strange-Journey-Toronto-ebook/dp/B0DST2YSJF?crid=Y9S7XGHCJ3P3&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.htG7vBWnaTDsCtQ1aqwopq9Jo5ohhEd2IQvKJFKvjB-797_Ugeh1vhoITNN3SCqeFaEfRwxjjxM6v5s9JaJ-E0B3vJb0jFE_8o38fwAAh-3yAG_3VFCSCUVmNr9D3aoXhBWdjebnEQkWlZvTKkREU2dJlKV9UIl-V3pw5lCtnrn8qWwsQ6DmTdMu3DhjLmmIrbiqNSeKDoHMlm6UPqF-R9CRgZqZl4dbfubNLJyuWDo.8jgXlknKsMsIYvQmmhUXg0qiIZYUHg3zm6cGDoIsGAA&dib_tag=se&keywords=ebook+great+loop&qid=1738250403&sprefix=ebook+great+loop%2Caps%2C116&sr=8-1
Congratulations on your purchase of one of the finest boats made. Now you’ll have to make sure everyone on board pronounces the brand name correctly! Most don’t.
I am hoping this boat (name?) will come to the PNW soon and I will make a point of catching a glimpse somewhere.
I love the Doggersbank design – a great platform – and fun to see a bit of my old country arrive on the wet coast.
Cheers!
Hi Ken,
I’m sure someone has already asked this question but I am wondering why you decided against purchasing another Nordhavn.
