A Krogen crossing the Atlantic, and studying the Aleutians

I just discovered this blog: http://lerevereport.blogspot.com It’s apparently a 44′ Krogan that just started out alone across the Atlantic. It doesn’t appear to be a very detailed blog, so I don’t know anything more, and apparently they don’t have much internet, so I’m not expecting much information in the blog updates… but, I’ll follow their blog anyhow. I don’t think I’d like to be in the middle of the Atlantic alone on a 44′ boat…

Over the weekend I bought a pile of books and charts, to help me prepare for a passage along the Aleutians to Siberia. I hope to make the decision in the next couple of weeks as to whether we are doing the trip or not. We’re discussing doing it along side Grey Pearl, a Nordhavn 62 that we were side by side with going across the Atlantic in 2004.
